In 2006, we received a generous grant from Stiftung Deutsche Klassenlotterie to renovate an old warehouse and turn it into the new, fully barrier-free F40 theatre venue for both (the renamed) English Theatre Berlin and Theater Thikwa. During the renovation process from 2006 to 2008 we occasionally presented site-specific productions on the half-finished building site as well as smaller shows in the F40 Studio and officially opened the new space with a production of Tennessee Williams´ Orpheus Descending in July 2008.
