For the last three years, Berlin has seen an explosion in English-language comedy. With regular open mics and showcases and springing up all over town in various bars, cafés and art spaces, dozens of Berlin-based comedians from around the world (including Germany!) are finding their voices and sharing their lives in hilarious detail.

Headliner Andy Valvur (Cologne/USA)
Andy Valvur is originally from San Francisco where he started doing stand-up in clubs like the Holy City Zoo, Cobb’s and The Other Cafe. From there he moved to Los Angeles where he worked at the Comedy Store and on to New York and the IMPROV and Catch A Rising Star. As a writer he has written for shows including The House of Blues Radio Hour for Dan Aykroyd, the Emmy nominated The Durst Amendment with Will Durst; he has also written for the the New York Times, Maxim, Cosmopolitan and the BBC. And finally, he finds it very odd to refer to himself in the third person.
