We are looking for a theatre piano!

We are looking for a piano! Our old instrument – some of you might have seen it in our foyer – finally “gave up its spirit”, to use a lovely German phrase.
The theatre requires a functional instrument that can be used in upcoming productions.
If you, or anyone you know, has a piano they would like to donate, please contact us at art@etberlin.de.
We will give it a very good home.

Konzeptförderung! ETB | IPAC Recommended for Berlin’s Highest Level of Funding

English Theatre Berlin | International Performing Arts Center is one of two theaters to be recommended as a new addition to the four-year Konzeptförderung program for producing institutions from 2024 to 2027 of the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Europe.

To quote the written recommendation:
“The panel of experts is convinced that English Theatre Berlin | International Performing Arts Center is an essential performance venue for Berliners and international independent groups and individual artists that urgently needs better financing. Inclusion within the Konzeptförderung program would go a long way as well to safeguarding an additional performance venue that is urgently needed in Berlin.”

“With this amount, English Theatre Berlin | International Performing Arts Center will begin to approach being adequately financed and be able to operate much more sustainably. This recognition of our many years of hard work through the recommendation means a great deal for the institution”, said the leadership of ETB | IPAC, Daniel Brunet, Günther Grosser and Bernd Hoffmeister. This new level of funding will nearly triple the operating budget of the institution.
