Thanks to the generous support of the Canadian Embassy in Berlin, ETB | IPAC is very excited to present the work of a series of Canadian theater makers and performers over the next six months. The field of performing arts in Canada is incredibly diverse, featuring a broad variety of themes, performative forms and aesthetic experiments. Internationally, Canadian work appears at an increasing number of festivals, such as last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival where CanadaHub, a showcase for new work from Canada, generated huge interest and was awarded multiple prizes.
FOCUS CANADA begins with Mouthpiece, the multiple award-winning production by Quote Unquote Collective from Toronto (June 5 – 7) and a solo show by the Canadian-Croatian stand-up comic Daniel Ryan-Spaulding (June 9). FOCUS CANADA will continue in the fall of 2018.
