Lionel is a disgraced academic, an embittered shell of a man. His loveless marriage is all he can call his own. When he finds a potentially valuable painting left outside his door, his life might finally be about to change -- but not in a way he expects.

Alexander Adams is a British artist and writer, based in Berlin since 2007. He is the 2011 artist-in-residence at the Albers Foundation, Connecticut. Three Strikes, his first collection of poems, was published by Bottle of Smoke Press in June.
