English Theatre Berlin has served as the host of English-language program segments for several international theater festivals in Berlin for more than a decade and began to produce its own festivals in 2013 with the Expat Expo and The Full Irish.
Selected collaborations include the 48th Berliner Festwochen / The Next Generation: Out to Lunch with The Food Chain by Nicky Silver in 1998, BeckettinBerlin 2000 with Gare St Lazare Players Ireland and Molloy by Samuel Beckett. We have served as a venue for The Gorillas’ International Festival for Improvisational Theater since 2001.
THE FULL IRISH
Beginning in 2013, The Full Irish is a new festival dedicated to contemporary Irish theater and performance. The 2013 festival featured The Company, Gare St Lazare Players Ireland and Brokentalkers, in addition to a four-play reading series as well as visual/performance art and music programming.
