Lunas Armband by Mario Golden and Beate HaecklOpening on August 18, 2010, 8 pm Additional performances: August 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27 and 28, 2010, 8 pm Jüdisches Waisenhaus (Jewish Orphanage) / Betsaal Five German women discover inconsistencies in the story of a family heirloom. Together they try to unveil the secrets and reconstruct the love story between Luna, a Jewish Argentinean, and a German woman. Their own stories will not remain untouched.

Intimate Relations – An Evening of Dialogue(In English) August 24, 2010, 8 pm • English Theatre Berlin / Studio Members of both ensembles begin a dialogue of reconciliation in Berlin and invite audience members to take part in a moderated talk. The full cast and directors Mario Golden and Andreas Robertz relay their experiences and impressions and interact with the public. Searching for a New Sun by Robin Rice Lichtig(Staged reading, in English) August 25, 2010, 8 pm • English Theatre Berlin / Studio Four third-generation Jewish women from different backgrounds attempt to break the silence that is carefully guarded by Holocaust survivor Ruth Steinberg – and in the process get closer to themselves. The play tells of the difficulties of penetrating painful hidden memories and reflects their meaning for the descendants of victims. This work is the culmination of their collaboration in Berlin and opens the next door of their dialogue in New York 2011.
